'A great new arrival, the Dufferin Coaching Inn is handsome, professional, polished and pretty'
'Leontine Haines has gotten all the details right in this lovely coaching house in pretty Killyleagh, part of which was formerly a bank. Unlike most Irish banks, however, Leontine knows how to run a business properly: no short selling here! The rooms and bathrooms are beautifully appointed, the towels fluffy, the Bircher muesli at breakfast is scrumptious as all the other homemade ingredients that comprise the feast that starts the day'

"My husband Gareth and I just had our wedding reception at the Dufferin Coaching Inn. It was an absolutely perfect evening. Leontine, the owner, was the most helpful, creative and accommodating person throughout the entire process. Our circumstances are slightly different than the average Bride and Groom in the sense that we had been married for just over year by the time we had our reception and also that we live in Canada. This was our opportunity to finally celebrate our marriage with all of our friends and family in Northern Ireland! Planning a party from Canada is no simple feat. Leontine met with, emailed and had telephone conversations with both ourselves and my mother-in-law in Northern Ireland. She ensured our every concern was answered and every request was fulfilled, suggesting little tweaks to our ideas to enhance our experience. Having a reception around the Christmas holidays AND trying to plan from Canada, we were concerned about who to have cater for us. Leontine led us straight to Posh Nosh who turned out to be fantastic and the food was incredible. Leontine’s close working relationship with Posh Nosh made the evening flow beautifully. The atmosphere created by the beautiful décor, amazed our guests with the newly refurbished grand entrance giving the venue a high class look. It was warm, inviting, classy and comfortable all at the same time! Was a fantastic venue that we would highly recommend to anyone planning a wedding party or any event for that matter! Thank you Leontine and the staff of Posh Nosh for making our long-awaited celebration such a special night! We also stayed the night in the Inn the night of the wedding party and the rooms were wonderfully comfortable and well stocked. Breakfast was beautiful and made any way you wanted. Perfect end to a perfect night!"

"If you're planning a trip to, or through Killyleagh, County Down anytime soon, do yourself a big favour and stop off at the Dufferin Coaching Inn on High Street. I've just spent a weekend there and can confirm that the warmth of the welcome, the cosy comfort of the room accommodation and the quality and quantity of the home-cooked breakfast are undiminished since my last visit a year ago. The Dufferin Coaching Inn really is a home-from-home with wi-fi access. Keep up the excellent work Leontyne - and I look forward to staying there again when I next visit Killyleagh."

"Perfect Wedding Venue... We chose the Dufferin Coaching Inn, Killyleagh for our son and daughter in law's wedding party as it is unique and has real character. The room was perfect, 80 guests seated for food and plenty of room for dancing. The bar and snug are accessed directly off the dance floor providing somewhere to take a breather and chat. Recently refurbished it now provides the perfect entrance with subtle colours and lighting to impress arriving guests. The whole atmosphere created by candles and fairy lights was just what we needed for a great party. Leontine, owner of Dufferin Coaching Inn, was so helpful and her relaxed style made preparations easy to arrange. All 7 bedrooms were used by our party and were excellent - large rooms with original features including wooden shutters behind full length curtains. Breakfast was great. We had people from all over Northern Ireland, Britain and further afield coming to join us and everyone raved about finding somewhere so different with history to it. Would highly recommend this venue for a party and overnight stay. Stayed December 2014."
"Kevin Tribute.. First class hospitality and comfort. Upon arrival we were greeted enthusiastically by Leontine and treated like friends of old, and this continued throughout our stay. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious each with a sitting room and en suite bathroom. My four poster bed was so comfortable I was rather loathe to leave to go home! Breakfast each morning was excellent with a vast choice of homemade breads, muesli and traditional ulster fry. Would I stay again? Absolutely without a moments thought. Stayed April 2014, travelled with friends."
"It's all in the details... Probably one of the best stays in a hotel I've ever experienced. Warm and welcoming experience who endeavour to make sure you have everything you need. The rooms are, clean, spacious and come with plenty of personality, However, it was the detailing that really impressed me. From dressing gowns in the cupboards to electric blankets in the beds it was really a 5 star experience. Stayed April 2014, travelled with friends."
